Once upon a time, during a winter's day, a queen longed for a daughter as white as snow, as red as a berry, and with hair as black as ebony. Her little girl was born and named Snow White. Sadly, the queen passed away soon after, and the king remarried. The new queen possessed a magical mirror that always told her she was the fairest of them all. But one day, it revealed that Snow White was now the fairest.
The queen grew envious. She commanded a huntsman to take Snow White deep into the woods and leave her there. The huntsman couldn't bring himself to harm her, so he let her go. Snow White wandered among the trees, frightened and alone, until she stumbled upon a quaint little cottage and went inside to rest.
As night fell, seven dwarfs returned home from the mountains, where they dug for gold. They discovered the girl asleep and allowed her to stay. Snow White cooked, cleaned, and sang cheerful songs. But the queen soon learned where she was. Disguised as an old woman, she ventured into the forest.
Snow White looked out the window. The woman said, "Let me help you try it on." She laced the garment so tightly that the girl fell to the floor. The dwarfs returned home and loosened the laces. They warned her not to let anyone in.
Snow White allowed her to try it. The comb was enchanted with a sleeping spell, and the girl became motionless. The dwarfs found her, removed the comb, and awakened her. They promised to stay together and keep her safe.
The dwarfs could not wake her, so they crafted a transparent glass bed and watched over her. One day, a prince came riding by. He saw the beautiful girl asleep. As they lifted the bed, a piece of apple fell from her lips. Snow White opened her eyes.
The wicked queen left the kingdom, and peace returned. Snow White thanked her friends and remembered the lessons she learned: be kind, be brave, and stay together.
