The cow was taken away, but Tom soon came out safely. Later, a hungry wolf passed by and gobbled up some scraps, swallowing Tom as well.
Tom remained brave and clever. He spoke to the wolf and guided it to his parents' house. Once there, he made enough noise for his father to hear him. His parents came and chased the wolf away, then carefully helped Tom out. They were overjoyed to have their little one back. Tom said, 'I've been in a mouse hole, a cow, and a wolf, and I'm happy to be home.'
